Review of Spring (2014) by Tor M — 24 Oct 2015
It has shades of what we've seen before, but Spring is a surprisingly tender and heartfelt love story, with elements of a monster movie. Not the rampaging bloodlust stuff we've see before, but more along the lines of it being a condition that a lover must overcome.
It features steady performances from the two main leads, and the only thing holding this back from being a classic is some shoddy CGI in one shot, and the dialogue being a bit cheesy most of the time.
Spring is a masterful combination of two genres, but it makes sure not to let one overtake the other for an intriguing amalgam.
