Review of Spider-Man 2 (2004) by Hunter M — 23 Apr 2014
My favorite of Raimi's Spiderman trilogy, and one of my favorite superhero films. It's witty, funny, and the action scenes are great. Peter struggles to balance multiple real-life situations while simultaneously live up to his spiderman responsibilities.
Dr. Octopus is a great villain, he's not too powerful, as he is just a normal man without the robot arms. I felt that spiderman always had a chance to defeat him during the fights, which kept me on the edge of my seat.
I love the train scene, really shows off how potentially powerful spiderman can be. The comedy works really well, and Peter isn't emo like in spiderman 3. Great entertainment.
