This is why I don't normally pay attention to movie critics. They bash "The Passion of the Christ" for being 'too graphic' and 'anti-Semitic'. Now they complain that "Son of God" is 'too boring' and 'bland'.
As for the 'helicopter shots', they gave perspective to the movie. As for the accuracy of the portrayal of Jesus, at least he wasn't gay ("The Last Temptation of Christ"). For those who think the story too familiar and in need of spicing up, maybe Jesus could have ridden into Jerusalem on a Harley instead of a donkey, brandished an AK-47 as he cleared the temple and used the 'F' word throughout.
Is that all we require of Hollywood anymore?
