Review of Some Mother's Son (1996) by Zeynep B — 18 Nov 2007
İ watched this movie more than 5 times. Helen Mirren, Aidan Gillen, John Lynch; they are takin you and bringing to that period of the İrish history, and make you feel a part of it. And one of the scenes I will never forget; Aidan Gillen ( Gerard Quigley ) begins to hunger strike, and his sister, his brother and his mother comes visit him.
His body becomes weak, and he comes with a chair to see them; he barely talks and he says to her sister : '' İ want you to respect to the things I believe. And you know what, things were never been as cleaned as they are now.
.. ''. With tears in his eyes... Ahh... Such a good movie it is... The scenes in prison... All of them looks like Jesus after a while... This is such a good movie full of secret messages, and touching scenes; absolutly not enough to watch one time.
