Review of Solitary Man (2009) by Roman D — 23 Sep 2010
One of my favorite movies of the year (not saying that much since this year has been terrible) but Michael Douglas is great. His character is essentially another Gordon Gekko but a more reasonable, less stereotypical, and overall more believable version.
The final scene is the best part and is very similar to Inception's leave-the-audience-hanging ending (which seems to be gaining in popularity these days like M. Night Shyamalan twist endings were at the beginning of the decade) but this one fits in with the rest of the movie much more smoothly.
