Review of Smooth Talk (1985) by Liv S — 06 Jun 2008
A fairly worthy take on Joyce Carol Oates' short story, "Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?" Contains added liberties, which I thought worked in a cinematic context. Affective performances - Treat Williams plays a creep very well.
My only real problem is that this movie could have been much better had it took place in any decade but the 80's.
