Review of Small Change (1976) by V9Y J — 22 Aug 2008
Set in a town in "the center of France" in 1970s, it's classic Truffaut. Life as it is. If plot-less or point-less movies bother you, stay away (although there are sub-plots and subtle points made through out the film).
It's a loosely connected collage of childhood, splattered with interesting and not-so-interesting moments of children's lives. It's an observation. And a great one at that. The opening sequence of children coming down the hill is a memorable one.
