Review of Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage (2014) by Jim S — 20 Jun 2018
This version of Sinbad was very authentic and unique in a sense that the storyteller created this and produced this without the outside interference of studios and agents pushing their ideas and agendas. It was entertaining to watch, and amazing stylized special effects considering they had a budget of 200k from what I read. Wow, only 200k?? That will not even cover the star's water and food for a standard Hollywood film, let alone a full fantasy film.
After further reading reviews, I also began to see patterns of many fake or unnecessary bashing type reviewers, which makes me weary of skewed reviews altogether. Will we ever learn to support new and daring talent?
I would say these guys should be applauded for making a film like this with no budget and so much resistance.
