Review of Shock Treatment (1981) by Wayne Z — 15 Jun 2010

Richard O Briens musical follow up to that over-rated Rocky Horror Show one. This was nowhere near as commercially successful as its predecessor, probably because the costumes are not as outlandish, but this one has better songs.

And what a bizarre cast - Ruby Wax, Rik Mayall, Barry Humphries, Gary Shail (from 'Metal Mickey' and 'Johnny Jarvis') and Jessica (Suspiria) Harper to name a few. I think the sypnosis on here is for a different film, also called 'Shock Treatment'.

Great songs. Great sets. Great cast. A real winner (that appears to have gone over the heads of other reviewers on here).
