Review of Shock Corridor (1963) by Hans C — 17 Jun 2008
In a dark pulpy masterpiece Samuel Fuller explores the limits of human sanity. At the same time he also raises question about the collective sanity of a civilization filled with war, racism, and weapons of mass destruction.
The insane emerge from their hazy just long enough to condemn the sane. Perhaps a little over the top but that in its way adds to the picture another great effort by Fuller to tell the stories of people at the margins of society.
