Review of Shifty (2008) by Rob D — 10 Jun 2010
"Shifty" begins like "The Streets - the Musical" with added male awkwardness. Happily, halfway through things start to get a lot more gripping. The film does a good job of saying "drugs are bad" without demonising the people that deal or use them.
All in all a decent film but not the revolution in British cinema that the hypemachine made it out to be.
A final note - why do the production team act like Jason Flemyng is a great star? I'd never heard of him before this.
