Review of Shake Hands with the Devil: The Journey of Roméo Dallaire (2005) by Vomalfalda B — 25 Jun 2008
Amen. Kudos to you Gen Dallaire.
Extrapolating from Newton's "action/reaction" theory and applied to modern political realities -- we (in the "West") are posed with how that is actualized in real, human terms. This excellent documentary peels back the political correctnes & niceties to reveal the stark truth in all its gruesome horror: a peek into the harsh reality of some who pay the tangible, human cost of our comforts & luxuries.....in Africa (the modern world's dumping ground -- rather, the land the world tries to forget). And, the entrenched institutional obstacles that await any individual or nation that dares to challenge this old world paradigm.
