Review of September Dawn (2007) by Tom S — 03 Jun 2008
This movie is a very well written love story. I have read several accounts of the incident and I feel that this one is very plausable. Am I saying that this is the "God's honest truth"? No. I wasn't there. But from the reluctance of people that I know who are in the LTD church to even discuss this event, I feel that the order may have come from very high up.
The acting was at times over-the-top. But it fit with the characters. This was a classic Romeo and Juliet story that could have actually happened. Loves like these happened all the time in the 1800's. It was a time when people married young because they didn't know if they were going to be here tomorrow.
