Review of Scott Walker: 30 Century Man (2007) by Kendall L — 25 Feb 2008
For me this was a bit like someone opening a secret door and saying "where have you been, come on inside". A fine selection of British artists have an awful lot of nice things to say about the man and what I heard of pre 80s walker will have me hunting around ebay.
Sadly, the second half of Walkers career sees someone fiercely independant creating soundscapes rather than anything approaching a real tune and Kijak refuses to really acknowledge the 'elephant in the room', that Walker's current albums are frankly ridiculous (and I reckon ripe for the Christopher Guest treatment).
