I think this is the most "unsung" of Spike Lee's films (and I also think history will show that a great number of his films weren't recognized as being great enough to stand the test of time).
... This one is a brilliant musical dealing with racial issues amongst African Americans themselves (among other things) and is engaging from beginning to end.
