Review of Scandal (1989) by Jack Y — 09 Jun 2007
Intended as a four-hour mini-series, Scandal can feel long in places. A good re-creation of the 1960s in production design, but the shorter time it has means the real story is sacrificed somewhat.
Tries to revisit the Profumo Affair with reasonable fairness, showing how media, politics and scapegoating can affect individuals. Sex scenes regarded as risqué for the time.
