Review of Santa Sangre (1989) by Mike S — 03 Jan 2008
Beautiful, a very metaphorical 2-Act narrative that is both stunning anddisturbing, focuses on the plight of a young boy when he loses his parents, his desire to be filial and instabiliity in overcoming his grief and his accidental revenge that leads to a spiraling alley into confusion, delirium and destruction.
It was w well-handed narrative, with the images serving as a strong counter-point, especially of the cult and the chickens, they particularly piqued me.
