Review of Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance (2015) by Russ V — 08 Feb 2016
Just to get the obvious out of the way, Samurai Cop 2 Deadly Vengeance is a horrible movie. Acting is mediocre at best, characters just randomly show up at places and do things with little to no explanation, which is simply a result of bad directing.
But, when you are watching a movie called Samurai Cop, you shouldn't be expecting good, just fun. And it does succeed at being fun if you are into these kind of movies. But what the first movie had that it's sequel didn't is, somewhat, competent directing.
The original at least mostly made sense. Now one could argue that that is largely due to the script, but this movie just felt like a bunch of random scenes sloppily edited together with no regards for plot what so ever.
Yes, I assume they were going for a b-movie feel, but they either took it a little too far or hired a completely incompetent director who threw the script out the window.
