Review of S21: The Khmer Rouge Killing Machine (2003) by Paul M — 10 Nov 2008
A very disturbing documentary about the Khmer Rouge's death camp in Cambodia. Not only is it disturbing in that it opens your eyes to the atrocities that occured there but as one of its survivors is the man reliving it just adds to the horror.
They also have some of the original workers/torturers there and when he comes face to face with them it is just bizarre how some of them seem to not even realise what they have done. It is a powerful film but as an actual piece of work I feel it could have been done slightly diffferent to more effect.
