Review of Rushmore (1998) by Brian C — 24 May 2012
Wes Anderson's best film, with the perfect balance of his various stylistic traits, and his most fully-rounded characters. It has many laugh-out-loud moments, but the emotion here cuts deeper than in his other work.
I'd use the word quirky, but I've already named the filmmaker, so I don't need to say it. Rushmore is a classic coming-of-age movie.
