Review of Room in Rome (2010) by Peter F — 03 Aug 2012
Room in Rome is kind of like the lesbian flip side of Andrew Haigh's Weekend, only with a noticeably larger budget and a more playful tone. Elena Anaya and Natasha Yarovenko are wonderful in their parts, even if audience members are only likely to admire them for their display of skin.
Unfortunately, a movie about a one-night stand obviously has to have more going for it than just sexiness. It's repetitive, and there's evidently a lack of a sense of passion that would have made the movie really succeed.
Still, if you're looking for erotic cinema on your Netflix account, you could do a lot worse than this.
