Review of Rollin' with the Nines (2006) by Richard H — 28 Apr 2009
A britsih gangster film with balls. Julien Gilbey is a talent in the waiting, I had seen his second feature first then bought this and this was amazing it knew its limitations and excelled them. The story is really good focusing on Black gang culture which was odd the script was written by two white middle class boys.
The film is violent not as much as Rise of the Footsoldier, Gilbeys second feature, but it still knocks you back a bit. The story and the characters are really well rounded and felt believable. A really good effort for a micro budget gangster flick.
