Review of Road to Paloma (2014) by Dc E — 25 Aug 2014

I bought this movie because of the blurb on the back of the cover. However, it turns out that this blurb was for some other movie. (Damn Cambodian pirates!).

However, I was pleasantly surprised. It has the feel and cinematic charm of Easy Rider, but with a more definite plot. There's some violence, redemption, unexpected cinematography (even for the actors - check out the lightning bolt that surprised the lead character) and a host of characters that drift in and out. Unfortunately, the ending is all too predictable, but it is made up for by the unfolding of the story and its back-plot.
