Review of Rider on the Rain (1970) by Veronica M — 03 Jun 2007
Slick, rainy film noir (Jim Morrison's favourite film reportedly and the inspiration behind the doors classic "Riders on the Storm") about a mysterious figure who harrasses and interrogates a rape victim while searching for her attacker's whereabouts.
Everything is not what it seems and the dialogue is a strange mix of non sequitors and cliches. Not for everyone but a really interesting artsy noir for those who dig 60's style crime melodrama.
