Review of Ran (1985) by Nico S — 10 Dec 2016
This is one of the most gorgeous movies I've ever seen; and that's not a testament to just the cinematographer but to Akira kurosawa as well because he manages to make every shot ooze out life.
Each shot tells a story in itself and that's where the real artistic beauty of the film lies. Other than that, the writing is pretty solid and accompanied with some tremendous performances, especially from Tatsuya Nakadai and Meiko Harada.
