Review of Quiet City (2007) by Lee M — 28 Jan 2008
I enjoyed this film, considering the low-budgetness of it. The dialogue for the most part felt pretty natural, there were definitely some scenes where you could tell they were forcing their plot points, a tough thing to avoid with all that improv and so there were times you could tell you were watching actors act.
But the handheld DV looked great and the story and characters were good enough to keep me interested. I preferred this to Aaron Katz' debut, Dance Party, USA.
