Review of Quest for Fire (1981) by Zachary K — 19 Jun 2012
This is an excellent film about prehistoric life because it doesn't mock its subjects like almost every other movie of its kind. The cast elevates the material, too: Ron Perlman, Everett McGill, and Rae Dawn Chong all play characters you really care about, despite not uttering a single comprehensible word.
The awesome locations include Scotland, Canada, and Kenya, and the impressive makeup earned an Academy Award.
