Review of Puzzle (2018) by Tvjerry — 24 Aug 2018
Kelly Macdonald heads a superb cast, as an underappreciated housewife who discovers her talent for putting together jigsaw puzzles. This leads her to new discoveries that change her life and relationship with her family.
This is a simple, quiet story, but director Marac Turtletau (who most recently directed "Loving") has again coaxed uniformly compelling performances from the cast. Standouts include David Denman (her husband), Bubba Weiler (her troubled son) and Irrfan Khan (her charming game partner).
It's a sweetly affecting little film.
