Review of Pu-239 (2006) by Lewis H — 25 Nov 2007
On principle I dislike films where the actors are coached in accents to sound foreign, in this case Russian, even a child. This HBO film intended to show some of the faces of crime and corruption in contemporary Russia while highlighting the mortal dangers of a badly administered and maintained nuclear industry.
The plot proved pretty lame, and the inconclusive resolution a little too pat for comfort.
