Review of Psycho Diver: Soul Siren (1997) by Jon-James H — 24 Jul 2012
Not the worst anime I've seen, but apart from five minutes of good animation there's nothing to enjoy in Psycho diver. Terrible plot, dialogue and characters. I was tempted to wind through the last third of the film, and was sorry I didn't.
The lack luster plot remained true to the end; the mystery is revealed, and every conventional plot twist ever used, is crammed into the film's final ten minutes. The characters are disinteresting, contrived and totally disingenuous; a trait common to a lot of anime, and sometimes workable.
Sadly, this was not one of those times.
