Based on a true story, this movie portrays the life of a woman named Kiranjit Ahluwalia, who went from being a timid housewife, to becoming the murderer of her (abusive) husband. She was sentenced to life in prison.
It's quite chilling to know that this is exactly the reality many Indian women live with everyday- physically, mentally and emotionally abusive husbands. This movie does a good job of exposing that reality & Aishwarya Rai herself gives an excellent performance.
