Funny, affectionate and somewhat nostalgic at times but what it lacks is a shrill and adroit writing. Most of it doesn't offer anything new or fresh outlook on love or life in general and yet you somehow begin to root for the protagonist and his failures.
Not a bad movie but not a great one either.
