Review of Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019) by Ookagari — 11 May 2019
Detective Pikachu is shining example of what a video game movie can be. Fulled with nostalgia and references (some subtle, some not) anyone who grew up with these lovable creatures will have a blast. The only complaint I can find is that the plot is vary paint by numbers Detective story, the adults will see the twists coming from a mile away, but the children who see this will find it still thrilling.
Good job Universal and Nintendo, I look forward what you come up with next.
