Review of Plenty (1985) by Kylie A — 23 Aug 2008
I've never seen the actual stage show, but the screenplay is smart and...I couldn't help feeling a sense of understanding and hopelessness as well. There's some really fantastic acting, even by...ugh.. Sting. The character of Susan isn't likable, but you got to admit she's fierce. I think it's because I'm still young, but I can totally sympathize with Susan, as I've been disappointed with the world, after being so hopeful in my faith in humanity and the world. But I digress...
Anyways, it's a watchable film. Does drag a bit during the dialogue, and you definitely need some intelligence and concentration to get through the movie.
