I put 5 stars, because frankly, I don't see why there's all this bad hype around this movie. It's highly entertaining, the whole video-game thing is wrapped nicely, and it's quite atmospheric when it comes to picture the early 80's arcade game golden era.

The FX are cool, not overwhelming like what you can see in the recent Batman Vs Superman flick for instance. I don't really know Adam Sandler, but he's quite fun here, all the bad criticism about this actor seem irrelevant here.

So in a nutshell, if you're into video games and want to have a blast watching Space invaders, Donkey Kong etc. blast famous cities into pixel pieces, go for it !
