Review of Pistol Opera (2001) by Teresa C — 03 Oct 2007
The singular vision of Seijun Suzuki is a completely confounding experience. But once you get over the overtly abstract construction of the movie, it's pretty enjoyable. I got more out of it with repeated viewings as the first time around I had no idea what the hell was going on.
It's like a shiseido cosmetics commercial where everyone's going for their guns.
