Kudos to the director anusha rizvi for penning a story that focusses on rural india and it's problems at a time when most bollywood filmmakers are busy luring audiences with mindless comedies and designer dramas.

Peepli live takes a serious look at how media and politicians use real life tragedies to up their TRPs and votebank respectively. The real issue dies under their rat race. Hats off to a mainstream actor like amir khan for sponsoring a movie like this that puts a spotlight on grave issues.
