Review of Pearl Jam Twenty (2011) by Paul E — 21 Oct 2011
An absolute joy to watch. Any fan of the band will love this film. It traces them from their earliest roots through the explosion of the Seattle scene and how they felt about that period and dealt with it.
It continues as that scene fades from the mainstream and the band's refocus takes them away from the limelight where it would seem they would prefer to be, a place where they can just pursue the music and things they want without all the media and record company shit that comes with the exposure they had.
Everything about this is great including lots of interesting footage from the early days showing clips of Seattle alumni like Chris Cornell, Kurt Cobain, and Andy Wood.
