Review of Patient Zero (2018) by Lord-Xaffax — 18 Aug 2019
There are a lot of interesting ideas in this movie. There also quite a few interesting characters played by good actors. But it feels like the content for a 20 episode season 1 of a series is crammed into one movie. Because there is no time for the viewer to really get familiar with the infected, like with the walkers in The Walking Dead, the discovery of infected who act differentdoesn't have the impact it should have. That is just one example. And the movie raises as many questions as it answers. There's obviously room for a second movie, but something tells me that will not happen. It would be a better idea to revamp it as a series starting with the outbreak and end the first season where the movie ends. Stanley Tucci plays a great character so whatever they do he should return. Natalie Dormer is of vital importance and of course so is Doctor Who...
I gave it a 7 because it kept me entertained and I would like to see where the story goes...
