Review of Passion Play (2011) by Jeremy K — 28 Sep 2011
Wow, this is a tough one to talk about. This is a movie where you REALLY have to suspend your disbelief; it doesn't even seem like an actual movie. But for what it is, it really isn't as bad as you might expect.
Sure, Mickey Rourke doesn't look like he wants any part of this, but I feel like he and Megan Fox are really trying. There may be some bizarre, and sometimes pointless moments, but I like the visual style of the film and parts of the romance worked a little bit for me.
You need a certain attitude coming into a movie like this; like "Plan 9 From Outer Space," if you're willing to buy into the surreal concept, you might find it just a little fun.
