Review of Parts: The Clonus Horror (1979) by Jeremy R — 01 Jun 2010
Kind of like "Coma", but almost on the opposite end of the scale for the time.
Whilst the idea behind the movie is not all that original, this probably could have been a lot better. In fact, it was a pretty good movie if you saw Mystery Science Theater 3000 when the passengers of the Satellite of Love were forced to watch this movie.
Where this is not the greatest movie of the 1970s, the acting could have been a little better as well as movie dialog. You can certainly sympathize with the poor schmuck clones knowing what their destiny is. Thankfully some are inquisitive to find out what exist beyond the cloning facility, which sets the movie in motion. The great Peter Graves, pre-"Airplane!", and Dick Sargent are notable names within the film.
On the bright side, you cannot help but think what a hack Michael Bay is for ripping this movie off for "The Island", but without too much product placement.
