Review of Palo Alto (2014) by Kerby H — 25 Sep 2014
Honest and moving story on the painful teen years, making high school life seem beautiful and ugly, all at the same time. The film didn't blow me away, but it had aspects that impressed me.The characters are surprisingly well defined in their subtly, and combined with the acting, even the most despicable characters are given a range of sympathetic depth."Palo Alto" is shot well and the music is good.
It's a film that may be the beginning of a great directing career for Gia Coppola(Francis Ford Coppola's granddaughter and Sofia Coppola being her aunt).
