Scrappy story, Visited lots of locations in the first minutes, so many in fact that I spent the first hour of this two hour film trying to decided who were the good guys and who were the bad. The cg of Peter Cushing wasn't too bad, but the cg of Carrie Fisher was awful.

Made her look like a hamster! Some future characters made an appearance, albeit briefly. But most of them were new and I found myself not really caring about them or what happened to them. The space fights were very good, but the opening scene "Long, long ago etc" was played vertically and not sloping away as in the other episodes, which seemed strange and a little amateurish.

Film spoiled before it even started. Bit of a waste of money really.
