Review of Oklahoma City (2017) by Michael D — 06 May 2017
Rating: 9.5/10.
Powerful, disturbing and incredibly heartbreaking, Oklahoma City recounts the horrifying bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City, OK and events leading up to the bombing that spurred on the mindset of domestic terrorist, Timothy McVeigh. This film is fascinating and tragic on many levels as it shifts from the Ruby Ridge incident of 1992, the Waco, Texas siege of 1993 and then the Federal Building bombing in 1995, which occurred on the two year anniversary of the end of the 51-day Waco standoff where the Branch Davidians burned down their own compound, killing nearly 80 people. It is a haunting account of the events and one that many should see and reflect upon.
