The same person did the score in Oh Lucy and Thoroughbreds. Thoroughbreds had a score that was pitch perfect, and was one of the best parts of the movie, whereas I didn't even notice Oh Lucy had one.
Not sure what that says about either movie, but it's an observation. Oh Lucy is much darker than I was expecting, and sometimes the characters act in a way that doesn't quite make sense in order to facilitate the melodrama.
But Shinobu Terajima is wonderful as Lucy, it's a funny and sensitive performance that really holds up the rest of the film.
