This film has a (to put it mildly) bad rap. I'm no great fan of Renee "Weird" Zelweger. But somehow Freeman and Rock find chemistry and pathos, and Zelweger's almost manic outre deal finds a comfortable home--for once.
This is, in the terms of Onion AV's Nathan Rabin, a Secret Success (disclosure: he thinks it sucks). Watch it. It'll do you good.
