Review of Novitiate (2017) by Marcel A — 20 Jun 2017
Novitiate tells the story set in the early 1960s and during the era of Vatican II, where a young woman in training to become a nun struggles with issues of faith, the changing church and sexuality.
Overall, Novitiate is one of the best films of the year. It's such a beautiful film to watch. It offers harrowing, powerful moments where it makes you love the film even more. This is such an immersive drama that is beautiful, and poetic. It's a film where religious people would be willing to follow, and too, a film where some religious people can relate to. I definitely recommend this film, because of how amazing it is acted.
