Review of No Looking Back (1998) by Karolina C — 02 Mar 2007
This movie, starring director Edward Burns, Lauren Holly and Jon Bon Jovi, was pure crap. Holly is Claudia, a young woman stuck in her hometown with aspirations to become something. What she never says, and one can wonder exactly what it is she hopes to achieve since she has no education or knowledge of what the world holds.
She is dating Michael (Bon Jovi) and he wants to marry her, but then her old boyfriend Charlie (Burns), who treated her like crap before, comes home and, of course, wants her back. The dialogues sucked, acting was worse than crap, except for one performance and that was that of Blythe Danner who plays the mother of Claudia, and does so splendidly.
Funny fact; for the first time in my life I was actually not hoping the bad guy would get the girl. I really hope I have not outgrown my bad boy-phase.
