Review of Nixon (1995) by Dave S — 18 Sep 2007
Anthony Hopkins puts in one of the greatest performances ever captured on film. Spellbinding. Hopkins becomes Nixon, with all of his inner demons and human foibles. The movie has a little too much in the way of Oliver Stone-esque conspiracy theory hoo-ha, but its the humanity that Anthony Hopkins brings to Nixon that makes it all come together.
You're simultaneously reviled by him and saddened by his wasted potential.
