Review of Night of the Dark Full Moon (1972) by Floyd C — 20 Dec 2007
Why would a movie promise John Carradine and then have him in only a few scenes, playing a mute with only one line? Perhaps if the film focused more on the horror master than the more prominent, wooden leads, "Silent Night" wouldn't have been such a bloody mess.
There is an unfortunate focus on the confusing, ultimately pointless exposition - the story is badly written, and ultimately inconsequential anyway so all the mystery elements only highlight the sizable errors the rest of the film has.
There are a few interesting scenes with gold filters, but other than that this is '70s schlocky horror at its very worst.
